(Jolly Good Framer) The JGF is a self regulating professional framers organisation originating in the UK. Membership is open to all professional picture framers. the logo (free to use) bears a slight resemblance to the fine art trade guild logo, but without the miserable faced middle-ages printer on it.
Join
To assemble and connect individual cut rails (sticks) of picture frame moulding such that a complete frame can be said to exist. For wood and plastic frames this includes attaching adjacent rails with glue and brads or underpins; for metal frames this includes attaching adjacent rails with angle hardware.
Jumbo Board
A double sized or significantly over-sized mount (mat) board. Board suppliers often refer to oversize boards as "jumbos". Standard sizes differ between manufacturers, although most standard boards in packs are approx 32 inches/815 mm high, and from 40 to 48 inches wide. Common sized Jumbo mountboard is 60x40"
