Re: How store coloured mat boards to avoid scratches?
Okay …. Do you store white daily use mat board and back board vertically as well? I have this from previous owner. I’ve tried to organise with dividers but it’s always chaos. So I thought I’d use the plan chest more. Maybe I have to rethink again. Especially since Oppboga mat boards don’t fit in the...

How store coloured mat boards to avoid scratches?
When I took over the workshop I got a lot of coloured mat boards. Stored in these drawers. Sadly a lot of the mat boards have scuffs/scratches in them. (I’ve read a little about how to try to save them.) How should I store my new ones so they don’t get scuffs/scratches? Some kind of paper between th...

Re: Maintenance of Euro underpinner?
And what kind of grease? I have a thick really sticky one that I used to the kids pram and push chairs. It’s for some part in cars.

Re: Maintenance of Euro underpinner?
Okay! I used to like to take things apart … Not now when this is so important and expensive. I can se five screws. Two at the top. Two just below. And one deeper down. Which ones do I need to remove? Can I do it while the underpinner stands as it is? Or must I turn it over or something? Sorry for al...

Maintenance of Euro underpinner?
So my 17 year old son helped me yesterday with my underpinner. It’s been leaking air since I took over the work shop a year ago. We installed a new “whatever it’s called in English” and fastened it to the bench since we couldn’t remove the old one. Just made a few tries in soft wood moulding with it...

New bigger cap for my glue bottle
I’ve been annoyed with that little blue cap since I started framing a year ago. Difficult to get a grip on. Sometimes disappearing. Too small to notice if it’s on or off. So finally I did something about it. Haven’t tried it so much yet so maybe it will need some tweaking. A wine cork, some wire and...

Do you all use some kind of software?
Do you all use some kind of software to calculate the price of a frame? My predecessor used a binder, paper, pen and calculator. And so have I continued. I like it. I used to work in front of a computer for 25 years. With an IT-department. Now on my own … I just see all the problems. And probably bu...

A dolly/cart for moving packages of glass and board?
Hi! I’m thinking of making a dolly/cart to move the package of glass and board. Since my workshop is tiny I have to move them portrait and sideways. All carts I have found are big and expensive so I was looking at building something like this. Any input is much appreciated! F75F88D5-FDCF-4999-A91B-6...

Re: Hi from Sweden
Thanks for the welcome!
Estancia has left the building. Their seller was here and made an impressive presentation. When he called I thought “oh no I’m happy with the suppliers I already got.” Now my knowledge has broadened. Thanks Keith!

Hi from Sweden
I’ve been lurking here since January so I think it’s time to go ahead and ask questions. I’ll start with an introduction. I’m Stina. Used to work as an engineer until I got burned out. Spent three years in art schools. A lot of happy and unexpected circumstances and I ended up as the owner of a fram...
