Re: Acid Migration through hinging tape?
>If the paper/inks are not 'archivally sound' >then no amount of conservation materials/methods >will preserve them. Not wanting to be controversial for the sake of it, but a bit of a discussion on this topic might be of interest. For years I've been telling folk that, even if the paper/dyes/inks o...

The angles you are looking for;
26.6 DEGREES
63.4 DEGREES
Wouldn't want to tackle this with a Morso though.

Re: Migrate Estlite Failure
A couple of things to try.
Turn off any third party anti-virus Kaperski, McAfee, etc.
Install a printer driver.
If EstLite runs, then follow the data restore steps above.

Re: Migrate Estlite Failure
No need to uninstall, Jay. In your new laptop: insert your backup memory stick into an available USB port, and run EstLite. Click Options>Data>Restore Locate, and double-click on the backup zip file on your memory stick. On completion EstLite will shut down, and the next time it is run it should be ...

Probably won't make a huge difference either way, but I would release the pedal clamp and let the springs relax

Re: Any Virgin Broadband users out there?
It might be worth talking to Virgin. The current Virgin advertised price is £42 per month for the basic phone/broadband package, there is an introductory offer of £27 per month for the first year, which probably isn't an option. But you may be able to negotiate a better deal somewhere between the tw...

Re: Compressor Advice
For many years our ectremely noisy compressor sat on a sturdy shelf above our toilet. The WC was far enough away from the work and sales areas so that the sound was minimal when the door was closed. The on/off stitch was by the entrance so that the infernal machine could be disabled, leaving undistu...

Re: D.I.T.H.
Hi Jerome, Yep, screw thread is 10mm, and wire was pushed to the bottom of the pilot hole before the screw was inserted. In addition, I calculate that, in my test, the strain on the wire at each screw is 29.4 pounds force. A tad above the manufacturers stated breaking strain. However, my estimate of...

Jfeg I am assuming that yours is a genuine quest for enlightenment and not a prelude to some sort of passive-aggressive down the line gotcha. I assure you that no trickery was involved and I have reported my genuine findings without any exaggeration. Like I said, my conclusion is that I’ll probably...

Proof Of Concept
Thought I'd give it a go and test this idea for myself. 10mm pan head screw, pilot hole 7mm deep, plastic coated picture wire, A4 frame. 1.jpg 2.jpg I thought this would look cheap and ugly, however it looks OK, kind of neat No visible wire twisting or knots. 3.jpg Load Testing This shows the frame ...

Re: D.I.T.H.
Brilliant! Good to see someone thinking outside the box. Here’s me beleiving that I knew it all, but I’ve never heard of this before. I’m embarrassed to say that, even though on a good day I consider myself of average intelligence, in over 30 years of framing I never thought of this. Don’t get me w...

Welcome aboard, Won Hong I'm sure the members of the forum would be interested to hear how you, at Ellie's Frames in Vancouver, would reply to your own quick question. You have an interesting website www.elliesframes.com. Another quick question: 1. Is the intention of Ellie's Frames to lower the pri...

I'll send you the correctly formatted CSV file. you will be able to just drag and drop this one.
However if you can run an ethernet cable from your router to your XP, even temporarily, you could download suppliers'm tables at will

Re: Centrado moulding table not showing
Hi photoART Looks like you have dropped the CSV file on to BBEst. However this is not necessary, instead (in BBEst) go to Options>suppliers then click Update The List Of All Suppliers and select Centrado from the list of suppliers, then click Download . The Centrado list should then be available in ...

Re: Pricing differences.
Two points to consider. Moulding prices are entered into EstLite exclusive of vat. The program will calculate the VAT if you choose the additive vat rete in Options>general. The program works best, yielding the most consistent and accurate results when you use the moulding table. The Moulding Table ...
