I need to cut several frames for a client. The problem is that the moulding is 5" deep (at the back) and will not fit through our double mitre saw. We also have a good standard single mitre saw on a stand but this does not seem to give a perfect cut every time.
Does anyone know of any cutting machine that would do the job?
Thanks

If you remove the safety covers, etc = is there still not enough room?

Is it too late to order it on 'chop' if your supplier does it?

The only way I can think of is to cut in as far as you can and carefully finish the cut with a handsaw.
One of those Japanese saws would be the weapon of choice.
Little bit of trimming with a chisel or whatever.
Sorted.

This is a perfect time to think about a table saw with a sliding top. I have visited several of the New York closed corner frame companies. They all use table saws with sliding table jigs.
