Secure Hanging for Public Spaces

I'm in the process of framing several large prints in very heavy frames for a pub/restaurant interior. Is there a go-to hanging system for this type of thing that's better than mirror plates?

The weak link is this sort of caper is nearly always the wall anchorage. This is something that you have no control over
unless you hang the frame personally, which is something best avoided unless you are a builder and have the necessary
insurance cover. It matters not how hefty you hangings are if the recipient just fixes the thing using a skimpy rawlplug
in a crumbly wall.

Funnily enough, the premises that these pieces will hang in is next door to my shop, so I could oversee any installation and ensure the fixings are substantial enough...

I'll contact Lion with the spec/weight of the pictures and see what they suggest.

I think it's what's commonly known as the "thinking step" nowadays...

I like to judge it when i have the finished item in front of me to get the weight by feel and if i belive that spring locks are not enough i use a metal split baton and spring locks on the sides to secure it to the wall

Thanks Dave, do you use a commercially available system or is it something you make?

I get them in the lengths and cut them to size just make sure the u bends are bigger than the 2mm ones as they are a bugger to get on if you know what i mean
