Framing Suppliers in Germany / Europe

Hi Everybody,
I used to be a picture framer based in London and I'm now living in Berlin. I would like to start making frames again but I'm having trouble finding suppliers, especially for mouldings.
Do any of you have any contacts with German framers, or suppliers? I've been looking for a few years ...

Re: Mountcutter Advice

Thanks for all your advice. I was using a Keencut Artist Plus, but the problem I had was that the large boards wouldn't fit on the base board. Also, with 3mm board the end of the blade wouldn't fall into the groove in the base board, and it would grate against the aluminium. Products like the ...

Re: Floating a large canvas

Whenever we have large frames we need glass and mdf backing board for we just get the backing board cut to size along with the glass order - which we get from Glass and Mirror in Leatherhead, who will cut 6mm mdf to size very accurately. This is only really cost effective though if you are getting a ...

spring clamp sets

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy a set of spring clamps in London (the little horse-shoe shaped springs you put on with pliers to fasten a corner while it dries)? I foolishly assumed that most hardware stores would stock them, but even online I can only find them on American sites, and I need ...

Looking for Equipment / Advice

Hello,

I'm new to the forum here. I'm looking for equipment to set up a small framing workshop in London - I've got a total budget of around £1500 - £2500.

I've already found a brand new Cassese CS55M foot op for £990, but I'm wondering if I could get a better deal on a second hand Morso. Does ...
