If the bottom blades are that tight i would recommend removing the top blades before you try giving the bottom blades any force to remove as if you slip with force next to the top blades you could be in a lot of trouble,

I haven't got this machine but can you not take the clamp of the runner and move it back to other holes on the bar that its attached to?
It looks like this will give you more room for wider mouldings,

You could put a mount at the front of the frame against the glass the bits that drop wont show as they will be hidden behind the mount

When you temporary stick the inner mount to the outer mount before cutting the inner mount do some pencil marks over the inner to outer mounts at the back, top bottom and sides to help refitting it back into place.

Thats interesting Prospero what sort of blemishes would it remove from mountboard would you use it instead of a rubber or sharp blade?
