Re: Cassese - grease in the distributer block and hammer ?

Hello
This is a subject that is close to my heart! Maximising use of confined space...
Do you have a bench that you could create a sliding shelf under, bit like a drawer?

Re: Chipping Moulding
I get this problem with Arqadia confetti range, amongst others. I do like the moulding and one solution that works quite well is to heat up the area i am about to slice with a hairdryer, it definitely feels softer and less brittle to cut and the finish is much improved. If its not a moulding i parti...

Re: deep bevel mounts foamboard
ok, thanks everyone, I sense there is no easy solution to my issue, I will try to do the bevel strip method and see how that goes. That was a top tip about peeling the top colour paper off and using for wrapping, I had a lovely "suede" effect board which i tried and it came off lovely and ...

Re: deep bevel mounts foamboard
Sorry, I think i mislead... The way I am doing it is to cut the aperture directly into the foam board, exactly as i would for a normal mount. I end up with a window in the foam board with the four bevels already there and ready to go. Is there a good technique for cutting the wrapping into the corne...

Re: deep bevel mounts foamboard
Thank you for the speedy reply!!! It leads me onto my next question.... Is there a definitive wrapping method for deep bevels? I did one earlier and the third attempt was very acceptable but is a fiddle and took a while. It would be impossible to explain how i did it in words! The way i did it falls...

deep bevel mounts foamboard
Greetings! I was quite inspired whilst at the Lion stand at the SF and have started to experiment with different finishes, paints etc. Is there a satisfactory way of getting a smooth finish on 5mm foam board bevel? I have tried Everest paint, PVA and gesso primer, several coats, with no joy.... The ...

Re: Framing counter covering
My front of shop counter is solid beech work top, very pretty, and sandable if it gets too scratched, it is 40mm thick. My framing bench has carpet, on top of that is a bed sheet, which i can changed regularly. I nip out to the local charity shop, there are about 15 within a stones throw, and pick u...

hello Townsend as an observation, all of the tips that you put forward were erring on the negative, ur trying to hook people in with things they know little about and wont want to spend the money on... Maybe better to come from a posative pespective, and to sell your strong points, u could do a diff...
