Re: Am I one of those?
I use Simons quite a lot. ordering up to a couple of thousand feet at a time, and i normally want it overnight, I can say it usually does arrive, although the carriers sometimes screw up. The only real niggle i have with them is that their computor system is not up to speed and they wont automatical...

Re: Oval Glass Cut Freehand
I cut ovals the same way (FREEHAND) but if its large i lay the glass on the bench frame on top with a marker draw on the glass inside the rebate then cut it that way, sometimes if you have the glass at the edge of the bench you can turn the glass with one hand keeping the other more or less still......

Re: Morso Ratshit
I replaced the handle on mines about ten years ago, I think what i did was moved the handle to get at the nuts having firstly undone the chrome plate and sliding it forward......I put a new handle on that i got from lion but within a very short time this on too had worn the lug off, i then adapted t...

Re: WRAPPING MOUNTS
Hi Robo, looks like you win on this one. Sold as 120m long 800mm wide 17 pounds a roll and they claim it as conservation, wrapping no gauge thickness given, but it is heavier than the florists stuff i used to use.

Re: Mounting a Leather Waistcoat
I would suggest nylon tags put through the stitches, this wont damage the waistcoat and you could if you wanted add some wadding to pad the body out, also if you have a cmc you can shape a mount to hug the waistcoat looks great done like this and with NO significant damage if any, box it up and put ...

Re: Am I Too Expensive # 2 ?
Birdman wrote.......If we do re-glaze jobs then we never charge less than for a new frame. As you say it is more work dismantling, cleaning, minor repairs, getting rid of the awful sticky tape or masking tape, etc and then putting it all back together again. If the frame has to be repaired as well t...
