Re: Picture hanging cord knots
I also use supersoft wire rather than cord, just my preference. You can use any knot with cord as long as it holds!

Re: cutting double mounts
Sent PDF "Perfect Double Mats" Best Dermot Hi Dermont, I am relatively new to framing and I would be interested in the Perfect Double Mats PDF if possible. I also use the Logan 450 intermediate cutter. I have had a few problems cutting the board, the lines were not always straight. I noti...

Wanted - In Your Face Pink Moulding
Hi, I have been asked if I can source some In Your Face Pink coloured moulding. Anyone know where I can get some? I have suggested plain moulding that can be painted first as an option. Many thanks in advance.

How do I use these properly?
Hi, i know this is a daft question but i brought a set of Fletcher Nipping and Running Pliers. They come with 2 sets of changeable jaws. Can somebody tell me which set i use for what and exactly how to do it. I tried using them today and broke the glass. For instance, one set of jaws, the plastic on...

What tape to use??
It was suggested to me on another thread that it was best to seal the glass, artwork, mountboard and backing board with tape before setting into the frame to prevent tiny bugs getting inside. What tape do you think is the best to use? I would assume that a clear tape would be better so that you will...

Thank you for the replies, I am making another frame for myself today so I will try gummed tape as suggested. I will also try the internal sandwich way of sealing them together, thank you prospero.

How do you do this please??
Today I made me first complete frame! Very pleased with myself. However, I do have a question and I am hoping you guys can really help me. I used SA tape on the back to seal the frame and I found doing the corners very difficult. Looking at the back of a frame I have in the house, gummed tape was us...

Wood Stain Pens
Hi everyone, This is my first post. I have recently started to do my own framing and I need to find somewhere that stocks wood stain pens so that I can finish off the small area of wood that shows sometimes in a mitre joint. Does anyone know of a supplier in the Nottingham / Derby area or a good onl...
