You would have to be mad to use a suction cup. We store all ours flat, on a pallet, in a dry environment.
Have you spoken to the manufacturer and see what they say. We've never had a problem with boards we use.

Are you still having a problem with this ?
Check with your ISP they can tell you the correct email (POP + SMTP) settings to use.
It will either be an incorrect port setting or user / pw issue.

If in doubt - why not try black ? Going for a gold or silver will drain the colour in my opinion.
