Re: Pricing

Pramsay13 Thank you for your reply! I realised I made a mistake. When I checked price on Estlite as I had it set to Jumbo board. :Slap: I'm soooo ready for a break!

Pricing

Hi everyone. Is there anyone else working today that has time to give me a wee price check? Last job of 2019 for me today is cutting 10 book type window mounts, hinging photographs on to back mountboard, both Daler Conservation board. Size is 22" x 18" (approx. 56cm x 46cm) so quite wasteful. Photog...

Re: Thick mountboard window cutting service?

Wow, thank you so much for this NYAF, very helpful indeed!! I probably need to accept that I should to buy a pack, as opposed to a sample of the board and get practicing! My Rep has been trying to persuade me for a while to offer thick boards, but I've been resitant after my first, and only attempt....

Re: Thick mountboard window cutting service?

Thanks Prospero,
It's 2.2mm, so I suppose minimal faff in theory. The biggest issue with the board I tried previously was it was just soooo bloody dense!
I've ordered a sample of the board I plan to use this time, so I'll see if it's as hard.... sure hope not. :sweating:

Thick mountboard window cutting service?

Hi Guys, Firstly, thanks for the replies to my "price wobble" post. Further to the issue of cutting thick mount board, are there any of you who either have a computerised cutter who could supply these for me for this job, or could recommend someone who provides this service? If I'm honest, I could d...

Re: Stuck wedge cassette

Hi Steve I had already taken out, cleaned and lubed the wedge distribution block and cleaned the hammer, to no avail. However, after a quick call to the Wizard (aka Mark Thornton) I slightly slackened a couple bolts under the table where the spring sits, and... voila! Magic...... Thanks agai...

Re: Stuck wedge cassette

Thanks NYAF I ended up going for a sleep to try and shake off a stonking headache. I will clean and grease, put back together and take it from there. When I said "I've no idea what I'm doing..." I meant, because I don't know what's causing the problem, I've no idea how to start to fix it. I've someh...

Re: Stuck wedge cassette

Thank you Mark has already helped me with the spring.... I'll get in touch with him Monday. Just thought I'd post here in the meantime in case someone had had the same issue. Eventually got the cassette out by breaking it into pieces.... now have the wedge distributer block out and cleaning it.... o...

Stuck wedge cassette

Hi Gals and Guys, Feeling frustrated..... Need a bit of help with my Cassesse 299M Ultra underpinner if you don't mind…. tried a search to no avail! I replaced the spring for the wedge cassette recently, and ever since some of the wedge cassettes were, (only some of the time) getting stuck, but with...

Re: Bespoke Stretcher Bars

Thank you for your replies.... I ended up getting from The Strand Gallery without any extortionate carriage costs. I rarely need bespoke bars so wouldn't consider making my own. :)

Bespoke Stretcher Bars

Hi Everyone! Where do you all get your bespoke bars from? I've always used Wunderbar, but went to place an order and cannot find their website. Error 404 Not Found. Can anyone shed some light on this, or suggest an alternative please, but not Harris Moore as they have a very high carriage charge for...

Re: Migrate Estlite Failure

Sorted!! Thank you soooo much John. Still think it was a tad pot luck that I managed it as I'm so new to this laptop and windows 10 that I'm not even sure at this stage how to turn it off! :giggle: Just trying to get set up tonight before starting my accounts tomorrow.... could be fun at this rate. ...

Re: Migrate Estlite Failure

Tried putting my registration key in but obviously don't have all my history now. Problem is, I'm already confused faced with windows 10.... i'm used t...

Migrate Estlite Failure

Hi, Just tried to migrate Estlite to new laptop following John's instructions on here. I backed on to USB stick, opened Estlite on new Laptop, downloaded and ran, and have now managed to have an unregistered copy as there was nowhere I could see asking if I wanted to restore data. Could someone tell...

Re: moulding search

Yeah, I have a couple pieces, just short of £200 worth from 2015. After numerous attempts at getting her to pick them up, I moved them out of my workshop, and in to my "Bothy" for storage. This was a "friend" of a friend. He felt really bad as it was he who recommended me. But he also bloody well le...
