Re: Ways to frame a sports shirt?

If you're not confident of doing a first class job, say so and turn it down, quite a few Youtube videos and even Lion have one.
The go to Sports Direct and buy a cheap sports shirt and practice the various types, it'll give you the confidence you need.

Re: Shadow Box/very deep frames

John have you ever fixed the capping frame direct to a flat piece of wood without the rebate, bringing the site edge of the box frame right down rather with what must be a 5mm ish edge showing?

Re: Home working

Regarding insurance NFU will bolt on a home worker element to the house and buildings insurance for a couple of hundred pound, which gives you ample third party liability and damage and materials etc

I wonder if the service is better in France, Holland etc, if it's a conscious anti British thing - maybe.

What a sorry state to be in, such bad service from Europe. To be clear - did you pay 795 to Europe and get assistance from the US?

Re: 2nds mountboards

I used to buy from Glasscraft in Hull before they went bump at £1.60 / sheet, generally off colour but no damage and great for slip and undermounts.

Re: Sticking prints down..

All down to funds of course, but the vacuum press is a great tool for the job you describe, and they come up regularly on the Forum. Getting re-going

My other work sources have come to an end, as has my stock of Frinton bundles, so I want to get cracking. I'd like to know from a lower volume framer how you manage ordering moulding in particular. Do you order straight away and factor delivery into your price, or do you wait to get to the carriage ...

fallen mirror

customer has rung to say his mirror has fallen off the wall because of my "inferior" chord. I completed the work two years ago though I've no idea how long it's been up. I'm popping round tomorrow, because i want to see how it's been hung - I suspect just 1 fixing rather than the 2 horizon...
