Re: advise on inkjet print outs
Regarding paper check your printers manual what is the thickest paper you can run trough the printer and order that. If this is a home desktop printer, selection of fine art papers can be limited (if any). Information about different supported media is in your printer manual. You can get UV fixing s...

Re: Keencut excalibur or fletcher material cutter
Roboframer just to clarify ... Exalibur has nylon bearings?
Than it is good we went with SteelTrak. We compared SteelTrak vs. Fletcher FCS and SteelTrak felt more robust. I just assumed it is a same with Excalibur vs. Fletcher 3100 but it seems i was wrong.

both are good machines ... but my personal choice would be Keencut (rotating blades and more solid construction).

Re: NEW Cassese CS20
The strength of the clamp when in position before top clamp is activated is really strong. It gives me plenty of time and space to make sure the join is lined up correctly before firing the wedge(s). Did you by any chance have opportunity to compare this model with 299XL and what is the difference....

Re: Silvering problem, facemounting
Usual problems with silvering: - To little pressure when laminating but 80% should be enough - Paper surface is not smooth ... this is why it is best with gloss media or polyester - Bad quality adhesive ... usually it doesn't have enough glue so it does not spread evenly. If you have a good quality ...

We are using Inmes IM30 ... our experience: + no back chipping like on Morso + despite one side stroke at the time faster than morso despite single drop for cutting (but this can be personal experience) + solid build + pneumatic claps - couldn't manage to calibrate it 100% (one side is perfect; the ...

Re: how much quicker is a saw than a morso
Cassese 969 requires 6 bars of air , and uses 1 litre per cycle- so the bigger the compressor the better So if I understand right 100 l tank should be enough ... i don't want that compressor to run all the time (that is the only silent model that I can order ... anything above that would be very lo...

You'll also need a good size compressor as they use lots of air. Can you share your compressor details. Would it be sufficient to run: Air intake: 150 lt/min. | 50 liters tank | 3 Singlephase motor HP 1 | Maximum pressure: 8 atm. or Air intake: 200 lt/min. | 100 liters tank | 4 Singlephase motor HP...

Do you have same problem with every wedge size? Could be defective head so there is a gap which allows two wedges at the same time.

How does that sound, or am I missing something??? :) I think you are missing here that it doesn't matter how you handle this the artist will tell you that it is too expensive :Slap: ... especially because he is giving you his own material, so how come you are charging for work this much (this is ha...

Re: jestmounter cold laminator
Few months ago we purchased JM 44 and all I can say it is a great machine. We combine it with large format printer so it was a good investment for us. The biggest problem with face-mounting photos to acrylic is dust (you really need dust-free room just for this and laminating) ... all other aspects ...

Re: What would you go for!!!!!
We have just replaced our manual underpinner with the new one (Pilm Jumbo Series). In my opinion the main feature you should be looking for when deciding what to buy is that moulding stay fixed after the clamping so that you don't need to move it back and forward. We also considered Casesse (199/299...
