Unfortunately my current frame supplier has just increased their frame prices by 60% without warning and to make matters worse only now supplies frames above 14x11inch with plastic glass. I've tried frames with plastic glass but find it a poor alternative to glass but having made a few enquiries it ...

Re: Slip mounts - would you use them?

Looks like this caused a slight stir

Re: Tips on improving photo mounting technique

Thanks for the additional info... regarding the mount/undermount I buy them pre-cut for convenience so trimming etc isn't currently a possibility...the pencil line sounds like a good idea, I'll give it a try. Regarding hinging to the mount rather than the undermount is there any negative effects fro...

Re: Tips on improving photo mounting technique

I make the under mount larger than the top mount dimensions - position the top mount over the photo then trim off the excess of the under mount Thanks for the reply but I guess I didn't explain myself too well... The 18x12 inch photo goes onto a 24 x 18inch mount/mountboard, the mount has a 17.75in...

Tips on improving photo mounting technique

Hi, I've just joined the forum as I'm looking for some expert tips on improving my photo mounting technique. At the moment I mainly mount 18x12 inch photos by applying a hinge between mount and photo. I then use double sided tape to secure the mountboard to the mount. This has worked quite well but ...
