Re: Estlite Query

Not been here for a couple of weeks, and just saw this.
Very sad news. Ricky seemed like a really nice and helpful guy.

Re: St Ives Framing Advice

@steve *nods* Having spent 25 years making frames for half of my customers who are actually *in* st ives, the rare occasions we have made a "st Ives" or a 'Nicholson" for a serious artist selling anything I can count on the one hand I have with a finger missing. there are great alternatives, of very...

I have thought of some words:

This one beats the picture held in with fly paper from 1999.

Re: Domain for sale if anyone is interested

It's going OK, thanks Peter. Trying to wind down, I've got to that age. scaling down whilst trying to leave everything in place to scale up again if the business finds its way into fresh hands has been harder work than I imagined. I have a dream that one day I will just walk away and leave the door ...

Re: Morso blades - where to buy?

I bought my latest brand new set recently from Mainline's web site, simply because they were the lowest price of all the suppliers with them in stock at the time, and delivered next day.

Re: shop lease renewal

I won't be entirely deserting the business, probably keep the shop ticking over till I get to actual retirement age, but I'll take business as it comes, and may completely drop the online side of things which seems to have got so much more aggravation lately and is very time consuming for me and sta...

Re: shop lease renewal

I think I'll be retiring at the end of the year too. One more season. Does the phrase "been there, got the t-shirt and had enough aggro after 25 years" sum it up. We'l be doing B&B for bikers. secure garage, charging, drying facilities, poldark country.   As pretty much the last r...

Re: Pricing Software

Estlite here. Been using it for years. solid, reliable, works well, always kept up to date, great support.
Started with BBest which is the sort of lite version for pricing only without the database, that is also very good indeed.

Bevel mirrors, rustic pine huge frames, 100s metres polcore

I'm clearing some useful stock out on eBay. Might be some useful items. Definitely good money to be made on the mirrors and rustic frames. Priced to clear and offers welcome. Buyer collects due to size/weight etc. If you are local you are more than welcome to come have a look. Bevelled mirrors in 3 ...
