Re: Compressor Advice

Also, this is the model they have suggested: https://www.lionpic.co.uk/p/38082/Bambi-PT24-110lpm-Compressor-Single (bambi PT 24) Would this be suitable for blowing application and for future use, if I decided to upgrade to pneumatic underpinner / morso, for example? Or could I get away with a cheape...

Re: Compressor Advice

I've also contaced Lion for advice on which compressor I would need. They have suggested an oil free compressor, beacuse the oil would contaminate the air too much.. Does this sound right to you?

Thanks

Framing Large Posters

Hi all. I'm looking for some advice on framing some large posters - 1.5m x 1m. The posters are of significant value, so the question is one of conservation. If jumbo mountboard is 1525mm x 1015mm then the board will not be big enough to mount the posters. Any suggestions on how I can get around this...

Float Mount Buckling Problems

Hello all, I've been experiencing problems with float mounted work buckling / going wavy. I'm using lineco gummed paper tape. I've tried pass through hinges, and after the paper went wavy I've tried the lion method: http://www.lionpic.co.uk/media/243086/how%20to%20do%20float%20mounting%20on%20heavy%...

Sorry pramsay13, the edges of the paper have curled up so I was going to try to flatten it and float mount it 'properly'.

Reversing a bodged float mount?

Hi, I've got a customer who wishes to re frame a float mounted piece of art. Unfortunately when I took the frame apart I realised the artwork has been fixed to foam core with a double sided film by the original framer. Before I contact the customer to say it can't be done I wanted to know if there a...

Morso blade misalignment?

I've been having a few problems with my corners recently, I'll try to briefly outline what's been happening: Corners were fine with no problems at all. As my blades eventually went blunt I changed them for sharp blades, and made a test frame. Although first two corners of the frame joined perfectly,...

Keeping a poster flat without dry mounting?

Hello I have a customer who wishes to frame some old vintage movie posters. Although I have advised on the benefits of conservation framing, he has decided to proceed without a mount (aesthetic reasons) and have the posters sit directly in the frame. Two of the posters are in near perfect condition,...

Vintage Poster Suppliers

Hello

I'm looking for a trade/wholesale/reasonably priced source for original travel/music/film posters. Prices on eBay seem a bit high, especially to sell on.

Any pointing in the right direction would be gratefully received!
