LION - Framers Event 2011
Just wanted to say Thank you to all at Lion for their hospitality yesterday. Especially to the fantastic Ladies who spoiled us with teas, coffee, and biccies.
There was a lot of work put into the presentations, the topics, and the general set up, so thank you one and all.

Re: Printing onto Mounts
Would add to the over all cost, but cutting additional windows would allow you to print the names etc onto regular paper and then position them within the window.

Re: For New starters everywhere !
What's advertising? No website then? (Not that I have one) That's advertising. No newsletter? No Free newspaper editorials? I spend £7000 odd a year on radio ads and it works - it didn't work straightaway. Every customer your advertising brings in has the same power of word of mouth as one that fou...

Re: For New starters everywhere !
Hi Sarah, Would you say then, that the Pricing Program would be a great help to a new starter ? Costing out for jobs is always a difficult area it would seem. I have used the calculator that you mention, and it does seem very well devised. It was a Scotsman that wrote the program, wasn't it ? :clap...

Re: For New starters everywhere !
As a terry Wogan listener I guess i would have to greet you with some sort of sarcasim but I'll save that for another time. Phil, your customer is the key to your business success and it's growth. Treat them as you would wish to be treated. Tell them the truth (except for how crap their granddaughte...

Re: Moulding Displays
Greetings people! I'm just about to revamp my moulding chevron display. Currently, I group my chevrons as follows: - Colour group first (limes, blacks, woods, metallics, alu). - Profile shape / size within colour groups. I'm curous about how other members group their moulding chevrons. In particula...

The have gone into adminstration. Around 200 employees have lost their jobs. Also suppliers have lost money and future trading. Not really a reason to cheer. Indeed our hearts go out to the folks who have lost their jobs, but how many of them felt sorry for the countless small family businesses tha...

Thank you to all who attended last nights event, but could you not have eaten more of the sandwiches and cake? I am going to have to eat them for my lunch today - darn  I realise it was holy week and that some were washing their hair, but an effort was made to hold an event in Belfast for all ...

Michelle, great to see you at the show, even better to see you on the forum. I should have confessed that i will never be able to pass my JGF, simply cause I fail on all counts. I'm rarely Jolly - default is usually mildly pissed off. I'm never good  Can do the framing bit but would rather ...

Jolly Good Framer Exam Question for JGF#1
I may have over stepped the mark. But there was a user on our stand who is a very enthusiastic forumite and very grateful for all the help she has been getting from all on here! I asked if she wanted to do her JGF exam (you know the very difficult can you frame question) she said yes so I said 'cong...

Mr Forum gets older
I wanted to be the first to warn you about my Fathers (John Pre-View) condition. At the show he may be a little distant, more forgetful, a little grouchier than normal, a bit dottery on his feet, unable to recognise people. Yes I'm afraid he is Suffering from TMB (too many birthdays) 60 of them to b...
