I too would be happy to help, I'm on the Suffolk/Essex border.
The best bet would be to re-skim the mitres to make a better fit, would save a lot of time rather than fiiling in the mitres.
We have a London delivery/collection on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

A good tip is to fill 'V'the gap on the Morso fence with acrylic or silcon sealant, wait til dry and then skim off any excess with a sharp blade to regain a flat fence. Alternatively cut some strips of 2mm MDF and place these behind the moulding to be cut therefore projecting the moulding forward pa...

Lawrence & Aitken were the main manufacturers of Passe-partout and gummed gilt papers for use in mount lining, they disappeared sometime in the late 1980's.

After reading all the posts it has left me wondering who has the most 'Antique' Morso still in use, mine is No 3208 which according to Morso was built in 1960 and is still going strong.

We tend to store the hardier mouldings vertically and the more intolerant to damage horizontally in separate section of gutter pipe.

A similar problem is with me at the moment, if you are going to use acrylic the clear cast variety is the stiffer option over the extruded variant. Glass and mirror do supply thicker acrylic glazing than their catalogue suggests (up to 6mm), so perhaps that may be another choice. The artwork that is...
