I also use NuBord from Wessex. Very easy to cut and reasonably priced.

Re: Be gentle Im new to this

Hi Ninhydrin, As stated you will get all the advice you need on this forum - everyone is more than helpful. I started about 2 years ago and went on an excellent weekend DIY Framing course which was well worth the money although I have slightly adapted the techniques outlined on the course. With mone...

Re: Coved Box Designer

Any advise on the best method of hanging/fixings for this type of frame given that the cove sticks out of the back beyond the moulding? I would assume you would need to fix to the moudling somehow?

Many thanks......Bob

Re: Photography and Mounting

I prefer to use T-hinges onto 1400 micron mountboard. I usually buy the cheapest available (Wessex own brand). I would only use something thinner if I was using a moulding that had a limited rebate.

Many thanks for your reply. Does anyone else have advice on how to add extensions to mouldings to increase the rebate?

Moulding for Sports Shirts

Morning All, I am currently struggling with finding suitable moulding with a deep enough rebate for framing sports shirts (I use Arqadia mostly). What do you think should be the minimum rebate depth and hence the size of the foamboard spacer? I have seen mentioned using moulding extensions which all...

Re: Mountboard Range

Thanks for replies guys. I am trying to work out which ones are discontinued. To confuse matters even more, they have renamed some of the existing colours (i.e. Brickwork is now Mulberry!!).

Mountboard Range

Hi all - even though I am a new framer I spent a lot of time, during set-up, deciding on suppliers and materials that suited me. I decided to use only Britannia W/C mountboard as it had 70 colours and I can get single sheets from Wessex when I need them. I have now found that Britannia have cut this...

Re: CMC cutting in East Anglia and beyond

Hi Steve,

Thanks for that - I am keen to have a contact local to me who can do some of the specialised work that would be outside of my capabilities on a standard cutting set-up.

Maybe you could send me a PM so I have your phone number.

Many thanks......Bob

Hi there,

There are over 20 options on the following link:

if the link doesn't work just go to the allposters website and search for VW Camper.

As a rookie trhis was my first event and I enjoyed it a lot. Jim's seminars were very worth while attending and it was good to talk to the stands although I am not in the big boys toys league yet. Very well organised and high praise to all involved in the orginisation of what I hope will be an annua...
