Re: Hard wood frames

Frintons do a full range of hardwood veneers which are raw, so can be finished as required.

Re: What type of router?

I use a half inch triton in a dakota router table, it is excellent and has the advantage of being able to change bits while the router stays in the table. The new model also allows height adjustment from above the table. The dust extraction is also very clever.

Re: Leather/Suede Slip

Thanks for the response. we are re-framing a 250 year old oil painting (stretched canvas), the current frame has a leather wrapped liner  which the customer liked, but it is beyond salvaging. I was hoping someone had an idea where I could get something similar. I'll probably go with linen if I...

Re: Morso Spares

In the last 6 mnths I've sold two Morso on eBay. Both for around £500. Both with sliding scale/stops and both with spare blades. It is worth waiting for one you can afford.

Just my 0.02 worth.

Re: MOMENT OF PANIC!

What about clear cable ties? Through holes in 6mm mdf as backing

Perhaps use acrylic instead of glass to lessen the weight a bit

Re: when to start

Hi david We find our year follows this pattern: Jan-feb. Quiet to dead Mar-may. Steady June. Mad busy July-oct. Steady Nov-dec. Mad busy Starting in a reasonable quiet time may make some sense as it would give you a chance to find your feet before the madness of Christmas. So long as you have a larg...

Re: Wessex Samples

Personally, I would not pay for samples on principle. Don't they want you to sell their range?

Arqadia have just supplied me with a full set of mountcard chevrons f.o.c. Arqadia, frinton, mainline and radius mouldings all supply me with free 1 foot samples f.o.c.

You could also use this method: Cut a normal window in the undermount, quarter of an inch smaller than the map all round, marking the cutout and the undermount for orientation Attach the map to the cutout as per reply above Fix the cutout back into the undermount with ph7-70 on the backside I hope t...

I find 233127000 a nightmare to cut on the Morso, lots of breakout.

Wessex do one c2139. They also do it in chop, so no waste

I assumed you were asking two questions. Cut glass only price and markup for ovals

We pay around £3 for 4x3 glass (so about 25p a sq foot)

Blade for omga mitre saw

Evening all

Anyone know where I can find the spec of the blade on my 10"
Omga? It looks thicker than a usual blade.

Oh, and a supplier of a replacement would be nice!
