After asking, and receiving advice on the forum I thought I would share the finished results. What do you think?

Re: Framed Shirt and Programme - Options
Many thanks Roboframer and pramsay13. I'm not sure how you would fix a programme at an angle over the shirt, the only time I've seen that done is when I've had one in to frame and it was superglued on  I was wondering how it could be done but seeing your first example has made my find up. It ...

Framed Shirt and Programme - Options
I have been given a signed Spurs shirt to frame, no issues so far, but I have to frame it with a programme from the match. The customer has left it to my discretion and I think it looks good placed on the shirt, at an angle. I could do it that way or with an additional aperture at the base of the sh...

Variation on a theme
To celebrate the role of the Merlin HC3 helicopter in Afghanistan the operating squadrons 28 Sqn and 78 Sqn commissioned a painting. I have framed a number of these but I thought I would ask your opinions on my variation on a theme.

Mounting a Drum Skin
I have been given a signed drum skin to mount and frame and I need a little advice. How can I mount it? I have looked and the Spoon Holder Set (3104) Pg 63 from the Lion Catalogue look like they would do the trick. Has anyone mounted a drum skin before and would be willing to impart some knowledge?

Logan Pro Saw F100-2 - Issues?
Is there any other hobbyists out there that use the Logan Pro Saw F100-2? I have been using the F100-1 until it gave up the ghost when I snapped the locking pivot bolt. What a fantastic peice of kit it was too. I have a number of outstanding jobs to complete so bought the F100-2 as a replacement. Se...

Re: Poor Photo Mounting
Cracking photo. I currently use Daler Xtra-Tak and a rubber roller to mount photos after a customer returned a large framed photo which had 'cockled'. I have found these to be very good for my needs. What benefits does hotpressing have over my 'small time' method?

Unfortunately space is at a premium here at RAF Benson. The fortunate thing about operating form the dining room is that atleast the Mrs still gets to see me! The unfortunate thing though is the setting up, tidying away and the mess!!

Thanks Roboframer. From your links I stumbled on Merlin Mounts where I can get mounts for framing cigarette cards, It is also nice to see some different framing techniques for Military Aviation. I would say 80% of my custom is aircraft related pictures, not always.

Re: Enough lurking, this is what i can do.
Excellent new on the jobfront pinkybanks. You are right, I get alot of work from the Sqns, sort of a captive audience and I must be doing something right because they keep coming back for more. I woll post some more of my efforts if anyone is interested? It is mostly of the Military Aviation variety...

Enough lurking, this is what i can do.
As a 'Garage Framer' or more like a 'Dining Room Table Framer' I have been lurking, admiring and sucking up good tips and advice for too long. I thought it was time I showed some of my work. I am in the RAF and the aircraft I work on is 40 Years old this year. I commissioned a number of prints and h...
