Without seeing the actual tile it's hard to be certain, but I think what you're looking at here are the spaces where the maker has wiped off the glaze so that the tile doesn't stick to the kil...

Lets's hope more volunteers come forward to organise events in all regions - if we have a couple of people per region they only need organise one event a year each AND we could get the geographic spread across the regions

For as long as I've worked at the Guild the Cotwolds Branch has included Berkshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire . The fact that meetings were almost exclusively in Gloucestershire in the past was down to the location of the Branch Masters at that time and didn't always suit other Cotwolds member...

Before I joined the Guild I was a glass maker and ceramicist; all somewhat hazy in the mists of time but I'll try to help. Provided the design is properly fired onto the tile then it will become part of the glaze and should last as long as the tile does. I think the longevity and quality is more to ...

Simples

If you have a franking machine and get your mail collected in pouches it gets priority sorting - if you stick it in a pillar box with a stamp on it goes in with all the other mail - one week for first class is outrageous though.
