Just wondering if the Morso is still available and if so what price are you looking for?

Help!
I'm desperate to find the above moulding as I've come up short (serves me right for not checking my stock first ) - I only need a 55cm length to finish a frame.
Does anyone within reasonable distance from Pendle, Lancashire have any?

Mahoosive sheets of paper
A regular customer called around yesterday with several very lengthy rolls of paper under his arm  Turns out that a local artist has pained on some sheets a montage of images about life in the local churches - the first 5 being 1.45x1.22m (1450mm x 1220mm) and the last being 1.82mx76cm (1820m...

Re: Guillotine, Underpinner and Mount Cutter for sale
Not intentional Dave - I'm not offering any more that you - just in case you change your mind, or in case they didn't fancy arranging courier's I'd like to be next in line if the seller doesn't want to arrange couriers etc... No hard feelings, but at the price, I won't find a hand guillotine anywher...

Re: The Spring Fair
Regarding costs for train tickets you *must* shop around. I'm travelling to Birmingham International station from Manchester Piccadilly - it's costing me £49 there and back - and that's even returning 1st class! Try trainline.com - but be flexible with which station you travel from; eg: Preston Stat...

Re: Conservation Felt or backing
Thanks guys,
I've always been interested in conservation framing, so I'll take a look at your suggestions and see how it goes. I think I might also invest in one of the books from the FineArt website to assist.
It's all very interesting - many thanks once again...

Conservation Felt or backing
Just a quick question - I've been asked to frame a 'sampler' of a friends mothers cross stitch they did in school back in 1882! I have also remembered an article from the October edition of Art Business Today, here Chris A Paschke mounted a rug on a felt backing, and was wanting to do a similar idea...

Presenting MDF Blocks
I've started to do quite a lot of 18mm MDF blocks with prints on the front (from Simons) - very simple and quick to put together. I'm doing an introductory offer at the moment and although the orders aren't exactly flooding in, it's creating quite a bit of interest. However, I'm trying to find some ...

Re: IKEAAAARGH
I once had a professional wedding photographer ask for a quote to make a large frame for a signature board. His requirements were quite exact - he chose a mid range moulding (that I'd have to order and he wanted it ASAP), and he wanted some some fancy 'celebration' mountboard that I also didn't have...

Something slightly different - cake stands!
Over the past month there has been a busy period in the workshop, however it had nothing to do with picture frames! I think this will be of interest for those who like a challenge... A few months before the wedding of two of our close friends, I was approached and asked if I could produce a stand fo...

Re: Splitting/separating corners
I've been playing about with Lion's new sundea/sunday (not sure of the spelling) moulding, which is quite a light wood. However, as its only about 20mm wide, if that, so it might be as you suggest, that I'm putting a wedge in too near the outer edge. Also, the hammer is resting nicely in the wood, a...

Daler is considered as cheap? What does everyone use as their 'standard' mountboard?

Splitting/separating corners
Hi all, I have a rather annoying corner separating issue which I'm a bit puzzled about. I've tried typing this post a few times trying to quickly sum up the problem, so please forgive the rather uneducated explanation below... Essentially, when looking at the outer corner of the frame, the corner se...

Re: Glass protection film
Well that's the way I'm doing it at the moment, so I may as well carry on - good news! :D My main worry was people not being sensible with the glass, but like you say, the chances of it being scratched - probably not worth it. Thanks guys - its always nice to get confirmation that a newbie is gettin...

Glass protection film
This will be a quick and easy answer for someone... I'm doing a (very) slow stream of frames where I'm being asked to supply the glass separately (signature frames for weddings etc..) on one occasion I had to sandwich the glass between the hardboard and mount to aid with transportation. However, I'm...

Re: suppliers
I do use Lion quite a bit, unfortunately, but am building a good relationship with my local D&J Simmons rep so will change allegiance when I get some samples sorted out! Its mainly the easy of on-line ordering which makes me use them. The thing that gets me about Lion is the minimum charge. Just...
