Re: Pistorius Underpinner - Problem
Thanks Jim, more options to investigate. This is good. Not being mechanically minded left me feeling a bit baffled. Thank you for your help.

Pistorius Underpinner - Problem
Hi, Has anyone with a Pistorius foot operated underpinner experienced the following problem and can you advise how to resolve it? When I press down the foot pedal to insert a V-nail, it meets a resistance to which I have to put down a little extra pressure to get it to shoot the nail. However, in do...

Frinton Mouldings Ref M04058
Hi everyone. This is a bit of a longshot since Frinton Mouldings was swallowed up by Wessex some time ago, but does anyone have any stock of Frinton Moulding Ref: M04058? It’s a large distressed antique silver moulding with a large scale beaded sight-edge. It would be great if anyone can help. Many ...

Re: Silver Frinton Moulding
Hi Compomouldings,
Thank you for your reply and suggestion, have tried both but no joy. The irritating part about it is that Frinton only sold the last few lengths about 10 days ago.
Shame.
Regards.
Bev

Silver Frinton Moulding
Morning everyone. Hope all are busy, but not too busy to read this enquiry. Would anyone out there have 2 lengths of Frinton Moulding Ref: 4058? It's a large antique silver, modern classic with a large bead on the site edge. (good for mirrors). This moulding has just become discontinued and all stoc...

Gielle Underpinners
I am looking to replace my underpinner and have been offered a 7 year old Gielle 4000E, complete with moulding supports.
This an air operated underpinner.
Does anyone have experience of this make? I'm looking for feedback and advice before taking a look at this one on Monday evening.
Many thanks.

Glaze or not to glaze
I have been asked to frame 3No. giclee prints which have been printed on to canvas. They are all limited edition prints of just 5, have all been mounted on to stretcher bars, and are all different sizes. The client wants all 3 to ultimately be the same size so I'm proposing to mount the 2 smaller pr...

Re: Pistorius Problems
Many thanks for your advice. I have checked and double checked that the "V" nails are the right way round. I have been using Mitre Tite universal wedges, but understand that Inmes now produce specifically for the Pistorius. I have a few areas to look at, and hopefully get things running sm...

Re: BBest vs Wessex
Have you looked at Framr by Framiac.
It's brilliant, and is continually being improved.

Pistorius Problems
Hi I have been reading an old thread (April/May 2012) about the Pistorius under pinner. I bought one second-hand about 18 months ago, but have started to experience problems. There seems to be considerable resistance before the V nail is finally pushed into place. This also has a tendency to push th...

Cheers.
That explains the no response from the Pistorius website.
Good to hear from the US.

7/8 Leveling Clamp for Pistorius VN-M Under Pinner
Hi Guys does anyone out there have the smaller leveling clamp for the Pistorius under pinner going spare, or know where I could obtain one. I have the standard 2 1/4 inch clamp which came with the machine, but it seems to have its limitations when pinning larger swept mouldings.
Many thanks.
Bev
