guilty secret ...
i have developed a sinful dependency on mitre mate / bond loc / call it what you want. i'm sure it's not big or clever. however, i wondered if anyone had a similar habit and whether they had formulated any 'rules' for the use of this stuff.

Cut to order acrylic panels - suppliers needed!
hi all,
has anyone got any tips in locating a supplier who can cut to order acrylic sheets for large posters i need to frame?
i'm thinking some jobs are so big that, for a poster or map, it sometimes might be easier to go with this option over handling such large pieces of glass. i'm in somerset ...

Re: suppliers
Hello again Calico!
I find that a combination of Lion plus a local supplier is working really well for me.
I build up a group of orders to make sure I hit the £50 minimum moulding order. That means that I can offer a really wide range of mouldings without actually stocking them. And it means I ...

when does glass become too heavy?
hello everyone
i have to frame a full-size OS map but the client wants "thinnest moulding possible".
is there a scientific method for working out glass weight to moulding width? at what point do i opt for acrylic?
any wise words gratefully awaited!

Thanks everyone - grateful for all your help.
