Think it is a good idea, you can see what other good experiences people have with wholesales you dont normally use.

I began getting the magazine, when it was recommended on the forum,
I think its well worth the money and its every monthly.

Definitely a plate for bikkies , the work shop wont be completely till I have a teapot, plates, mugs and china cups for special occasions.

I agree z = PITA, i use anvas offsets from lion page 114, artist like the can easily remove their paintings

I allow 20% wastages on my mouldings, if you have say 4 lengths of moulding and only 2 lengths are useable then you are more than entitled to some of you money back. I glue in slips to frames and find that method fine, providing my slip is nice and snug in the frame.
I also add two frames together (sometimes more frames), a gold inner frame and a dark outer frame, this works really well and adds the effect of extra debth.

Sorry this is nothing to do with a book on restoration but I did see on the news the Bristish Museum do tours of their conservation work shop rooms, may be of interest.

Wont be without my machine, if you buy one make sure the buyer explains how to change blades and general maintaince

I use G&M (south) for all glass, backing etc and have no complaints at all, very good service and very helpful if you need advice

I think Bainbridge gloss type effect boards have been dicontinued, it might be worth giving them a ring and checking, they were in the standard range
