Just want to say thanks to everyone who contacted me one way or another to give help with this problem.

Cheers John, that was the first thing I did, but sadly no Mink.

Hopefully the customer is going to go for the magnolia or CP12 as it was.

Thanks anyways

Re: BBest on more than one pc?

Thanks John,

That is pretty much what I expected. I'm running windows 7 on both.

Will it work with a Mac? I was thinking of treating myself in the summer to a nice shiney air book :D

cheers

BBest on more than one pc?

I, like so many others have more than one PC/Laptop for work and I was wondering about buying BBest. My questions are: If I install it on my workshop PC can I install on my Laptop also? If I can, then does it run separately, do I have to manually set it up on the laptop to mirror the PC in my worksh...

Re: Looking for Mount Cutter Logan or Keencut Ultimate Gold

Hi I have a Keencut Artist Plus available if that's any use to you? Have a look at them here: http://www.keencut.com/uk/products/mat-cutter/artist-plus.aspx It is the AP1200 model and is in great condition, I only used it for about a year before I got my CMC. I'm after £270 for it but that would inc...

Good man!

I do like to see Ikea frames being shoved where the sun don't shine :D

Serious upselling though, just curious as to how many frames she ordered from you?

Re: Mount cutting hooking

I used one of these before my CMC, I found that I'd get shallow hooks about every two months.
The answer I found was to just reduce my blade depth and loosen then re tighten the bearings.

It worked for me, you never know it might work on yours.

Re: Advance training with Gunnar at Lion

Hi Alan, Hope all is well with the family. I held the car in place with a thin strip of mylar. I did think of using thin wire but I had some strips of mylar lying around from a previous job. It's not perfect and there are things I will do differently next time I do a box but as a learning exercise i...

Advance training with Gunnar at Lion

Evening all. I've had my Gunnar for exactly two weeks now and I attended an advance training day with Sarah and David from Gunnar at Lion yesterday. I have to say I took a lot from the day and feel like I have saved myself hours and hours of general messing around and getting it wrong by doing the d...

Re: My Son's homework, any ideas?

A font of knowledge!

I will put them all to him this afternoon and then (try) to get him to research them and write something up.

I don't remember having this much homework at 9

Thank you everyone!

My Son's homework, any ideas?

My son informed me this morning that his homework (to be in Wednesday) was to write about something the Victorians celebrated that we currently do not. I came up with differences in the way we celebrate things and things we celebrate that the Victorians did not, such as Halloween but I just can't th...

Re: I just "pulled the trigger" on a nice new Gunnar F1 Hybr

Thanks for the replies. I agree it seems to make sense to get a new one with a half decent spec, I already bought the monitor this morning. A friend was upgrading his monitor and let me have his 22 inch for a bargain price :D I'm hoping to do some creative stuff with it, but for a start it'll be the...

Re: I just "pulled the trigger" on a nice new Gunnar F1 Hybr

That's the exact website I've been looking at for my compressor :D will be ordering it tomorrow. I'm undecided on the PC front. There is a fairly high spec pc not far from me ending on fleabay in the next day or so, or do I play it safe and buy new? I suppose it's the age old question. I've just pai...

I just "pulled the trigger" on a nice new Gunnar F1 Hybrid

So, I'm very excited! I would just like to extend my thanks to both Sarah and David at Gunnar for their patients and enthusiasm. They put up with me asking all sorts of silly questions and took the time to show and talk me through things. So I have made the order and it should be with me early Octob...
