Re: Anyone offer photo restoration and framing?
I charge £60 per hour in, increments of £5 if a job takes 6 min, I would charge £10. The trick in making enough money at this is to work quickly. here is the last job I did It took 16 minuets so charged £20 + printing and framing. If anyone wants any tips I'll be happy to post how I work. We offer ...

Re: Couriers
Parcel Monkey are who we use - made the mistake of using UPS twice, what a nightmare. Granted we don't send fragile items via Parcel Monkey but they haven't lost anything and their system is quick and easy to use. We couldn't even get a copy invoice for 3 months from UPS - total pain.

Re: Yellow Pages FATG Advertising
If it helps some, I am one of those who still looks up Yellow Pages. Not so much the printed book, but I use the website. If I'm going to an area looking for a specific type of service or looking to get quotes from several different local businesses for something, I do find it a good resource to loo...

Aloha!
I don't know why, but I thought I had already posted in introductions! I'm Yasmin and I tend to lurk here a lot because framing is not my trade, I am a hobbyist painter and so only ocassionally require tips and tricks on how to present my paintings. I usually persuade my father to do the actual fram...

Re: Hand finishing
The key to liming (which is the only hand finishing I've done!) is just buffing, buffing, buffing... circular motions and keep checking it's going on evenly. And make sure your cloth is completely clean before you start. I don't know what sort of wood you buy - I don't know the technical terms in fr...

Definitely! Looks like there's a couple of routes (probably to various ledges and not the top) that are around my grade.

Re: Watch this without going OMG
Eek! It makes me cringe, although there's quite a few climbers who cross over to base jumping. I went and saw a talk with a great climber, Tim Emmett, and he showed us a couple of his base jumping films too.
I don't think I'd ever be inclined to jump off tall buildings, only climb up them!!

Re: Website hosting advice
Hi Adam, If you're still looking for a good way to back up your website monthly, it is quite straight forward to use FTP software to download the files from your website directly to your harddrive, which to be safe, I'd then burn onto a DVD/ DVDs. It depends on how much space your files currently ta...

http://www.photoshopuser.com http://www.kelbytraining.com Various posters are right about the time needed to get going on CS5, and having bought magazines etc over recent months I've found the above seriously good sources of information. By but it's hard going! Some of the videos on Kelby training ...
