Re: Keencut V's Logan

I'm sorry I seem to have upset some people. I only wanted ideas from people who use the kit day to day, not wind people up!!
Sorry I asked!

Re: Keencut V's Logan

Thanks for your comments everyone. The point about the blades is a good one but, if you purchased a Rolls Royce would you then worry about the price of petrol?
I've studied and tried both and I must say that I think that the Logan is a better built machine, do I reject it because of future running ...

Keencut V's Logan

Hi. Can anyone explain the attributes between the Logan 855 Platinum Edge mountcutter against the Keencut Ultimat Gold. I've got the chance of both but don't know which one to get.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Morso grabbing moulding

I have found out how lethal they are, anybody want to buy a large piece of flesh. I didn't realise that users back them off. I've just tried it and all is well, just take a bit of getting used to.
Thanks for all your help and everyone have a great Christmas and new year.

Re: Morso grabbing moulding

Thanks for your replies. It's doing it with all mouldings. I'll try the spray, will it affect the glue when I join it?

Re: Morso grabbing moulding

I make the cut holding the moulding down and back. The blades cut and then grab the moulding and stays at the bottom of its stroke. I then have to put my foot under the pedal to pull it up. Sometimes it drags the moulding up with it and I have to back the blades of to get the moulding out. It's as ...

Morso grabbing moulding

Hi. I'm wondering if someone could give me some advise. I am new to all this, a rooky perhaps. I've purchased a Morso which looks as if it has been looked after. Whenever I cut some moulding the blades seem to grab hold of it. I have to hold the moulding in place and put my foot under the pedal and ...

Hi. It looks really good! Problem is I'm looking at it on an iPhone screen. What is the backing and violin coated in, sorry but I'm very new to this, trying to get any inspiration I can.

Re: Excaliber 5000 Blades, plain or special?

Thanks for that. I think it's hardly been used and the mint condition instruction book is with it. Is there any way to check the wheel cutters in the top head?
Once again, thanks for your help.

Excaliber 5000 Blades, plain or special?

Good morning. I wonder if someone could advise me? I've just purchased a used Excaliber 5000. Are the blades just plain old Stanley knife blades or are they something special? Your advice on this and any tips on using it would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks
