The paper size of the print is 500mm x 750mm but the image size is 300mm x 300mm in the middle of the paper with the artists signature directly underneath the im...

Re: A couple questions

Thanks Mark, How do you tell your customers what choices of frames they can choose from when they aren’t allowed in your shop? I get many emails and messages asking if I’m open but i am finding it difficult to explain that as they aren’t allowed in the shop then there is limited options. Are you jus...

Sundry costs

Looking for some advice/information on what fellow framers offer in terms of sundrys. I’ve been asked several times if I supply D-Rings,cord, picture hooks etc but it’s not really something I’ve looked into until now. If anyone can let me know what they offer (pictures of display would be great) alo...

Hi all, Wondering what you guys do with your window displays. I have two big bay windows which is great exposure....but, unless I change the display every few weeks the pictures get damaged. Re: Spring fair advice

Wasn't looking for ideas.....looking for deals :-) Wow, that place was huge!! Really impressed with the whole thing. I realise many of you say it's not as good as most framing suppliers are pulling out but as a first timer I was certainly happy with how my day went. Actually glad there wasn't any mo...

This fair better be worth it!

I'm HAVING to sit in the airport drinking these while I wait for my flight.

The sacrifices we framers make these days :giggle:

Not 100% sure to be honest. Was hoping someone might have one or two in display that I can have a look at.

Any recommendations would be great?

Are you at the show this year? Keep an eye out for me, I'll be the stumbling Scotsman!! Haha

Storing finished frames

Hi, Looking for some advice/thoughts. How do you guys store your completed frames? I currently have a bench in the front shop that I have completed frames stored under....but it's obviously of a certain size so can't get any frames larger than 80cm high or 60cm wide to fit. I therefore just have the...

Re: tape for shirt stretching

Also, do you not see the tags/stitches when in the frame?

I know it would be minimal but is it not better being completely sealed from the back?

Re: tape for shirt stretching

Thanks for your thoughts. How exactly would it work though? I currently stretch the shirt round a made to measure template and pull the shirt to get all creases etc out then tape it strongly on the back. tape for shirt stretching

Hi guys, Just a quickie, what tape do you use to stretch football shirts? I use tapestry tape but since I first started using it, it seems to have lost its 'real stickiness' lately and therefore not holding the shirt in place when stretching the other side etc. I've thought of using carpet tape but ...

Re: FOR SALE: Entire Professional Picture Framing Workshop V

Hi, Just a thought...... Most of us on here are kitted out with framing equipment so don't necessarily need ALL of the goods your offering. There are however a few of us that need certain machines to 'complete' our workshop or add to it? I have been keeping an eye on your post and there seems to be ...
