Re: Frame packs and orders
Can assure you things in Tasmania are not all that buoyant. Most businesses in all forms have been belt tightening for some time. As I have sId previous we are not struggling by any means but if things don't change it just won't be us that feels the pinch I can assure you. It would be great if every...

Re: Frame packs and orders
We are really appreciative of all the feedback. We are aware it's a big picture and not just us affected. We have been very comfortable in our business up until suppliers decided to change the playing field. Our shop is a bit different to others in the state in that we also offer a one off moulding ...

Re: Frame packs and orders
Fantastic reply Mark, thanks so much. We have discussed all you mentioned. We have also spoken with managment of the major supplier regarding the issue and they were pleased to receive the feedback. They had and are discussing the problem facing the industry in Tasmania and other regional areas of A...

Re: Frame packs and orders
Thanks everyone for your help. To be clear we have a very good business, it keeps myself and my daughter quite busy. We do turn over quite a bit of work. We have a nice shop front where we also sell framed posters and other art works. We also sell art works on commission. My reason for the post is t...

Re: Frame packs and orders
We have thought a lot about the chop service and it would seem it's th way to go for frames that are not usual sellers. We have tried to stay away from that service in order to use our own saw and tell people we do it all in house. Thanks so much for your reply

Frame packs and orders
Question, what is the industry standard method of frame purchase ? Pack only or do you by single lengths as required. To date we have been able to purchase lengths of frame and due to supplier disputes with their suppliers we are now forced to purchase packs only. The packs vary from 2 lengths to 6 ...

Re: Question
Will check the bolts in question. I have had a good look under there in the past and never noticed anything out of the ordinary but could have missed them. Thanks again.

Re: Question
Thanks for the reply. We have an Alpha1 very nailer and over time I have noticed that when the nail is pushed into the frame there is a movement upward in the frame. This is only slight but it seems to indicate that the clamp pressure could be a bit stronger. It seems this is controlled by a spring....

Re: mitre saw
Well our IM30 takes up around the same space as the Morso did and with the built in dust collection we have found no dust floating in the shop at all. Just happy days for us. Cheers, Art Framed and stalf.

Re: mitre saw
Well the new saw has arrived and when it was put together the results were more than acceptable. With a keen eye it was evident that there was a very slight under cut on the inside of one of the mitres. This indicated that one side was out slightly. It was found that the lefdt side was the problem b...

mitre saw
Hi everyone, we have just purchase an Inmes IM30 mitre saw for our framing workshop. We currently are using the tried and true Morso. Has anyone else purchased the Inmes saw and if so what are your thoughts. Cheers, Art Framed.
