Apart from the defect on the side of our blades, they still only last about 3 weeks before needing re-sharpening- Our Morso blades last almost 2 months before needing changing. Baffled to hear the contrary from so many others.

Just got them back sharpened and they're still not great... A lot of friction pushing hardwoods apart- Softwoods ripping on back edges... Manufacturing defaults etc... No way these are better than the new morso blades.

I brought these blades on the strength of this thread. Bad decision. Yeah well that stuff looks more like a cleaner rather than a scratch removal product. Try the stuff that was recommended above.

As the video shows, but I would also uses a squiglle of PVA next to the ATG tape.

^ Some kind of plastic polish is what you need. We always use this one and it works miracles on small scratches. Just dab the paste onto the scrtatched areas and buff it around with a soft cloth.. good quality toilet paper is fine. Then use more clean paper to buff out the residue. http://www.amazon...

How did you make those spacers? It looks like you mitre cut them, but then the mount board on top overlaps?

Yeah, I think you're right.. It was a fairly cheap paper that we used...I am looking at canson papers and illford atm, but I just need to do some experementing really.. which is difficult without the kit!
