Re: Unreasonable requests......
Had one of my photographer customers in yesterday with a floater type frame he had done by Border Frames. The customer had decided they wanted an alternative image and he wanted me to take it apart and replace the image. The one he had was mounted on MDF and very securely stuck into the frame. Sorr...

Unreasonable requests......
Last week I was asked by a customer to rub out the the '1' from her limited edition print that I was framing so that it became number '46' rather than '146'. Obviously I politely refused and tried to explain the ethical reasons behind this which she couldn't seem to grasp. Eventually I told her that...

Re: problems when entering job details...
Hello again John. It just happened to someone whilst halfway through typing in the 'remarks' box. I couldn't see any reason as to why it had happened but pressing CTRL and SHIFT solved it. I'm guessing this means something is being inadvertently pressed on the keyboard and causing the problem.

Re: problems when entering job details...
This has certainly happened to me in the past John and did cross my mind. It just seems odd that it has only recently become an issue with everybody. As I say, I will take a look next time it happens here and see if I can spot anything either to clear it up or furnish you with further details. I'm h...

Re: problems when entering job details...
Yes John, we've encountered the feature that you describe and it doesn't seem to be that. From what I'm being told there seems to be no apparent reason for it. We have three members of staff here who have all used Estlite since 2008 and this has only just started happening. I've asked to be notified...

problems when entering job details...
Good morning John, Over the last couple of weeks all the girls in our shop who take in the framing work have mentioned a problem that occasionally occurs when entering job details on Estlite. Apparently, sometimes halfway through a ticket, they can't enter any details in any of the boxes (mount deta...

Actually, your post made me remember another frame from years ago that I made as a joke for a friend. I'll hunt for a picture later today......David wrote:Excellent - not sure I'd want it on my wall though. Just wondering if there were any other body parts worthy of the same treatment?

Re: Folded flag
I know this isn't quite the same thing but you may be interested.... Many years ago a customer brought in a chequered flag signed by James Hunt. If I'd framed it flat the handle would have taken up a lot of frame space and the signature would be almost lost on a large expanse of flag. A triangular b...

Seeking Ken Brookes!
Good morning everybody. Can anybody help me track down the whereabouts of Ken Brookes of 'Spencer Brookes' in Trowbridge? He has made some beautiful hand finished frames for me in the past but seems to disappeared. The only phone number I can find is now unused and I have had no replies from his ema...

Undoing data restore?
Hello John, is there a simple way to undo a data restoration? We have had to restore data from a backup but have lost all the jobs taken in since the last backup. Windows restore operation seems to have no effect. Thanks!

Re: Deleting Customers
Hello John, We now have Estlite up and running and it's making life a lot easier. However, due to there being several members of staff (of varying degrees of computer literacy) using the program we now have customers repeated (sometimes very often) in the database. This has also happened with severa...

Price list updates
Hello, can I ask how often the price lists are updated as quite a few of the Wessex/Frinton 'WF' range don't appear to be in the downloaded list? Are these lists made available by you or the supplier?
Thanks very much, Martin

Thanks John, that's what I figured but it's always nice to know when I'm not being daft.
