The point about rpm and blades is thought provoking, the rage also has smaller bore on blades.
Here is video on rage and different blades.

I would love to be able to buy a high end saw, but I can’t justify the cost. This is the best saw for the money I can find.

I looked at the Evolution fury 5-S, but the reviews are not as good, mainly its accuracy and robustness.
The evolution for the monks the best you can buy.

Re: Table saw, best blade moulding cutting?
The other way to do this is to just buy the lengths of PAR to the required width needed. This isn't as economical as slicing into wider widths, but you save on having to finish up sawn edges, as Prospero pointed out. And you save on the cost of a planer/thicknesser. I was thinking of doing this or ...

Table saw, best blade moulding cutting?
Hi, I really fancy cutting my own mouldings from blank lengths of wood, hard and soft, and so am looking to get a good quality table saw. Question is which would be the best blade? Research has lead me to getting a blade with high number of teeth and not to wide, but stable. Any thoughts as only one...

Re: storing mount cutter
I have a shelf for my mountcutter that is above a door. Or do you envisage it hanging in the middle of the room rather than at the edge? If you look on the bottom you will probably find that it sits on just four or maybe six rubber feet, so I wouldn't worry about the warping if suspended in the man...

storing mount cutter
Hi, I have a valiani astra 120 mount cutter which is not used everyday, and as I have very limited space storage is an issue. I have been thinking that I could setup a pulley system and when not in use I could store the cutter above my work bench close the ceiling! Apart from the obvious which is ma...

Re: Work tables - what surface do you use?
Hi, I know this is an old thread, but while researching a suitable workbench surface i found this one and the suggestion of Correx. While getting the material to build the workbench i found some sheets of Correx at builders merchant, only £4.50 for 2mm 2400x1220mm sheets. I got a couple in black and...
