Pricing for canvas stretching using EstLite

Hi folks, Quick questions about pricing- when using EstLite to price for stretching a canvas do you use the "Stretch canvas" option solely, or do you also include the price of the stretcher mouldings? E.g. I have a canvas measuring 62cm x 68.5- just using the "stretch canvas" opt...

Re: Framing a paving slab??!?!

Taken me a long while to get back to all of you on this- sorry! Your suggestions were greatly valued. I managed to, very carefully and with a bit of help, drill into the slabs and put bolt insert nuts into the holes. This was after I had attached a square piece of 10mm ply onto the back (it filled i...

Re: Framing a paving slab??!?!

Paving slabs! Whatever next? I'm wondering how you are going to secure the fixings into the paving slabs, that is assuming you are still intending to drill the slabs. it's probably worth considering fixing some M6 studding into the holes with chemical metal and fitting nuts and locking washers at t...

Re: Framing a paving slab??!?!

I'd be tempted to have floater frames made from steel or alloy L profile to house the slabs and bind them into place with {something}. You could also use 'clips' fashioned from alloy and bolted to the steel frame to hold the slabs in place. You might also check your insurance...... Would be a great...

Re: Framing a paving slab??!?!

I guess the first question would be "why do you want to frame 50 paving slabs? Ha! Yes, indeed- basically it's for a contemporary art exhibition. Each slab will be "decorated" by an artist. Once over that, I agree with you in using the tray frames, however, unless these slabs...

Framing a paving slab??!?!

Evening! I have been asked to frame 50 paving slabs (10.28 kgs worth per slab- 40cm x 40cm) I have agreed with the customer to use this float moulding from Arqadia: https://www.arqadia.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?itemno=239137471&id=197 I have a few ideas about drilling and screwing the slabs onto...

Does anyone recognise this moulding???

Has anyone seen or used this before? A customer is looking for an exact match and I can't find it amongst my usual suppliers' pages. It's a honey pine coloured reverse, 30mm wide, with a shallow rebate of about 15mm. any help will be greatly appreciated!

Glass pricing

I'm sorry if this has been answered hundreds of times already: I've been using Estlite for two years and have basically used the settings as they came, more or less. I'm now at thinking I need to refine the pricing a bit more but am not sure of the mathematics of it all and God knows I'm no natural ...

Re: Pricing glass

I suppose that's the problem, John. I don't know what a "fair" mark up for this particular glass is. When I compare what you have set as default for the "non-reflective" glass, it basically works out as x2 the cost of ordinary float glass and yet the cost price is about x4 the pr...

Thanks for that Grays. Have been in touch with them today to change my account. Was just wondering if there was a glazier etc who were better priced. Think I'll definitely be getting my first stock order from them though
