This isn't a reply to your post. Can't help you on that one I'm afraid. I posted the 'STRAP HINGES FOR KEENCUT LASER 1000' title, and thought as you have a KC1200, does it have strap hinges, and where do you plan to get your next ones from when one eventually does snap?

Yep, I thought as much myself. I was sure someone else would have suffered from the same problem, and already sussed out a replacement source. Suppose I should do it myself really. Something else to add to the 'to do' list except that this needs to be sorted quickly.

FLEXIPOINTS : I only use them on ready-made frames for clients to assemble themselves or where the lack of rebate poses a real problem. Otherwise I would never use them. They don't give anywhere near the support given by rigid points, and on large frames they are very unsatisfactory in my opinion ...

Hi all

Just found this site - looks like a good thing for us framers!!

Anyone who owns a LASER KEENCUT 1000 will know that very occasionally a hinge can snap. KEENCUT have always replaced these free of charge, but they no longer have any stock of these items, and will not be producing anymore. :x ...
