id of a moulding

Hello, does anyone recognise this moudlng please?
A customer wants it to match an existing frame which was framed in the Uk.
There is a similar one at my suppliers but it is made of plastic.

Cheers Catherine

Re: framing a 100x89 ordanance survey map

Hello, yes the map was rolled. I have returned the framed map to the customer but put it onto two pieces of artback conservation board which stabilized the whole thing and there were less ripples. Re: framing a 100x89 ordanance survey map

hello, I have laid it onto the backing board ( conservation ) and have fixed it down with tape along the edges whilst using a roller to smooth it out so ideally there would be no ripples in sight... no I have not mounted it or used spacers..

Re: framing a 100x89 ordanance survey map

Hello all, I am attempting to get the above sized map which has been printed on thin paper to lay flat on the backing board without success. I can get it it lay flat without any ripples without the glass , but once the glass is replaced it ripples. Shall I ask customers to get it laminated ? :head:...

Always learning

Hi all, I am rude ! Yesterday I joined and sought help with L shaped framing without introducing myself first. Bad form . I have been framing for two years and I love it. There is nothing like being your own boss and not having to get up early on a dark frosty morning to drive miles and miles to wor...

Re: cutting an L shaped moulding on a morso

:D Hello all, after reading all of your useful comments I have come to the conclusion that I have picked up the wrong moulding.
However I already have the correct moulding as seen behind the sample piece that I did cut.
I attach a picture of the wrong moulding..

Re: cutting an L shaped moulding on a morso

Many thanks Richard, I did cut a sample that way yesterday but my problem seems to remain somewhat because I am making a box frame and the moulding is black on its inner surfaces but bare wood on its outer surfaces . It might be that I have to paint the outer surfaces?

Re: cutting an L shaped moulding on a morso

I should add that the inside of this moulding is black . The outside that is unpainted will be the outside of the box frame and that needs to be black..
