Re: Cassese 276 Help Please

Sounds like it could be the limit switch. Alternatively it might be the tension on the spring that fires the limit switch. If this seems double dutch give me a ring sometime. 07967106346

Re: Moulding ID?

I believe this is an Italian Moulding. Renaissance used to supply it. But they now only offer it in Ivory finish, They call it 44 Avorio. Maybe you could overpaint the ivory black.

As long as your driver is in good order any universal wedge should do the job.

Re: Moulding offcut storage

Similar to the wrap idea I used to use elastic bands to tether longer offcuts to current stock. That system works really well if you have horizontal storage. The most important thing is to dump at the end of a batch though. However the wigwam method that I often see in workshops brings back fond mem...

These were a great machine in their day. Well engineered easily serviced and very trouble free. Craig Finn (now a Nielsen Rep.) is your man for spare parts. You need to check the return springs in the hammer unit and also the 3 springs in the clamping cylinderother than that check the hammer itself ...

Re: Coverings for chevron display boards

How about a flock type wallpapere in a sandy colour. It would work well with your system and not be too expensive to change when it gets tired. I think neutral works best. Black looks tired very quickly as does darkm green and blue.

The update will probably work on Vista if you look into the user access controls and enable the download of non-microsoft registered programs.

Re: Mounting posters on MDF

In the good old days we allways used chipboard. This does work fine in either vac. presses and hard beds. I would prefer a hard bed myself.
Not as unfriendly healthwise as MDF. and more like wood to shape etc.

Morso problems

One thing that sometimes works is to grease the front edge of the rebate supports with candle wax and also the blade faces. Plastic mouldings which are flat also sometimes cut better upside down but keep your Morso base free of dust or byou will mark the moulding.

Given the amount of space I would go across the 8 ft with a 4ft wide board which will give you ample space for assemblt etc. Fix your mount cutterr on the far left of the bech with a couple of wooden blocks and square it accurately once fixed you can then move it if necessary but taking the left han...
