Well hi all its good to be back . My spinal operation was a success and now I'm on my rehab program.
Not aloud to drive for another four weeks or work for 8 weeks. Desperate to get back to things and finish my workshop.
Anyway I have lots of reading to catch up on as there are quite a few posts.
Thanks for all your best wishes, I'll soon be back and starting to make some frames, so be prepared for an avalanche of questions. Anyway have got lots to sort out before Monday so will say bye for now and dont forget to keep my place warm. Hope there will be plenty of jokes posted for my return to ...
Man in hospital bed wearing oxygen mask over his mouth "nurse" he mumbles are my testicles black"? Nurse raises his gown, holds his manhood in one hand and his testicles in the other. She takes a close look and says "there is nothing wrong with them sir". Man pulls off the oxygen mask, smiles at her ...
Man said to his wife "I had to show the grey hairs on my chest to get my pension"
Wife said "you should have dropped your trousers and we would have got disability allowance"
Well here's an update on my progress. All work benches are now fitted, I had to get someone in to do them due to my continuing back problems. Anyway the workshop has now sadly had to be put on hold as I have major surgery on my back on Monday (artificial disc replacement) With any look the ...
I'm also a pet lover, so you have my prayers. We have five rescued dogs, 3 lurchers (Yazz, Fred & Zico) and 2 Jack Russels (Ronnie & Reggie). Also we have a brain damaged cat which was rescued. Our cat (Mollie) is unable to climb, she walks sideways like a crab, wont go out the garden and ...
An elderly couple, Ray and Bessie are "snowbirds" in Texas. Ray always wanted a pair of authentic cowboy boots. Seeing some on sale one day, he buys them, wears them home, walking proudly into the house and says to his wife:
"Notice anything different about me?" Bessie looks him over, "Nope ...
Ah! looking at prospero's workshop has given me some good information, after seening the morso built with a bench to the left of it and level with the bed to support the mouldings.
I never thought about this option and was worried how I could achieve more work surfaces and storage
Kev & Pat thanks for posting the pictures, it really helps with me designing my workshop. Both your workshops look very impresive.
Maybe I'll post a picture of mine when it's complete and then I will be open to some constructive critiscm which may help fine tune the project
The other thing I've done with my main workbenches is to use 2 sheets of MDF for the top. The bottom sheet is fixed and edged with 2x1 timber. The top sheet drops into the 2x1 frame. This means that when it gets damaged or worn I can flip it over or replace it easily (at least, that's the theory ...
Thanks for the info. I'm looking at making the length of bench the full width of the garage (8 foot) and 3' in depth sounds a very good idea. The only trouble with this design would be that i could only work from one side and not several. With your experience could you see this causing a ...
I agree with Steve, there are too many reality programs dominating our TV sets at the moment. All the ones Steve mentioned plus more. What happened to a decent film at prime time viewing instead of watching has-been celebritys trying to earn some cash due to there failure. Why dont they go out get a ...
