Re: Wanted - Chevron Display

Hi, sorry for the late reply, I am potentially interested, how much would you be looking for, and would there be the possibility of sending up it north?

Underpinner help/service

I recently purchased a second hand underpinner, it’s a Minigraf 44. I can’t get any pressure into the underpinner pneumatic system as the air seems to be escaping from underneath the first connection, I think it is the air filter lubricator. I’ve been through the instructions but have hit a brick wa...

Re: Tuition Wanted (needed!)

Thanks all, I’ve had a good look at the courses in Livingston, some of them are exactly what I need so I’ll definitely be looking into them. Also found a few more in-depth on line Manuals so I’m having another crack at it today. Thanks for the other contacts, I’ll certainly be following them all up ...

Tuition Wanted (needed!)

I am based in the south of Glasgow from my home workshop. Just starting out, self taught so far but have reached a point where I am in need to some pointers. I use mostly keencut equipment, ultimat futura and excalibur, and have refurbed a foot operated morso and also have a charnwood underpinner an...

Glass for larger frames

I have a few jobs that are just over A1 size, one is about 112cm x 80 cm, does standard 2mm float glass work at this size or are there any more economical products out there that are less fragile when working on a larger scale? The only thicker glass I can find, even 3mm, seems to be considerable mo...

Framing damaged prints and posters

Basic question - just starting out! I have a batch of a3 - A2 prints to frame, some are limited edition and the customer does not want to use the hotpress. Any advice on how best to frame these and still get rid of any bends, kinks and small creases without permanently sealing them to board?

Re: Workshop Tools

Thanks to everyone for such in depth information! Really helpful to see different points of view. Seems to make sense starting small and building up as I go instead of jumping into anything too expensive before I know I’ll really get a good return on it.
