C&H Bainbridge Ovalmaster Cutter.
It's never been used and still has the 'sharp bits' wrapped up in the original packing. The box it was in got wet a few years back and is no longer with us, and the wooden base plate has suffered a bit of water damage, but nothing that would affect the machine. Collection only, it weighs a ton! Work...

Re: Framing big prints
Thank you very much for your advice. I'll take it onboard and will have another crack at it tomorrow (luckily there isn't a customer waiting).
Also, it's hanging about five inches above a radiator - I guess that won't help!
Many thanks again.

Framing big prints
Hello Yet another dumb newbie question from me :-) I only really know how to frame 3D objects but have recently started framing prints (just for myself to hang around the house). I've been using T-hinges after learning about them on youtube, which seem to work fine for small prints, but 60cm x 90cm ...

Re: How do I reproduce this:
Thanks for the replies Jerome, Mark & Prospero Yes, it looks the same as that moulding from Simons. I can't see the price though as I don't have an account, but I'd imagine it's still around a tenner / m? I guess I don't need to reproduce the moulding exactly - it's just that it kind of suits th...

How do I reproduce this:
Hello again Yet another question without actually contributing anything else to the forum. (I will once I know stuff!) I'd like to try and reproduce this driftwood from Lion: https://i.imgur.com/bYdiysr.jpg Or at least something close to it. I've got a table saw and my mate has a router I can use. I...

Re: Attending county shows
Thanks Vintage, it is a good idea. I'll have a think about how to do it. It would need to be sturdy as there'd be quite a few frames on it, so maybe I should buy 'feet' for the trellises.

Attending county shows
Hello again. I just wondered if anyone has any experience in setting up a trade stall at county shows. I finally have enough stock to attend one of these things, but no idea what to hang the frames from. From what I can gather, the show organisers generally hire out little bays with a 3m frontage. S...

Re: Skeggöx: Three of 'em :)
Thanks for the comments/encouragement. That's a great idea about using wood instead of mountboard. I wonder if I could use 'fancy' wood to do it, with a nice grain. (Not sure I'll get it from Lion/Wessex though!)
Thanks again for the suggestions.

Re: Skeggöx: Three of 'em :)
Thanks Rainbow. I normally avoid pre-finished mouldings as my corners always need filling. But after much frustration, it seems I can just mix up some wood filler with acrylic paint, stick it in the gaps, then wire wool it, and you can't tell! Perfect for me - although the corners can end up looking...

Skeggöx: Three of 'em :)
Hello again After lots of people telling me that they want to be able to handle the things I frame up (as they are ancient and interesting. The things, not the people), I'm still buggering around with glassless framing, despite the advice on here telling me it's a bit of a daft idea, which it is. Al...

Re: Underpinning ash
Thanks for all your replies. I'll try pinning/nailing as suggested (haven't got enough room or money to buy more machinery unfortunately, so everything has to be manual rather than pneumatic) and will try the right-angle section thing. But at least I now know that it was probably a particularly dens...

Underpinning ash
Firstly - apologies for bombarding the help section! I just wondered if anyone has any experience with the 31mm barewood ash deep rebate moulding from Lion? (pic below). It's perfect for me, as it's deep enough for 90% of the objects I frame, and it looks nice when finished... but, I can sometimes h...

Re: Glassless framing...
Thanks again Mark, very interesting!
I haven't used self-adhesive tape to mount any 3D objects (just the motorbike pictures, which were cheap, glossy prints), but it's good to know all that.
Cheers

Re: Glassless framing...
Thanks Mark - plastizote... another thing to google! It sounds like the sort of thing I'll need to get familiar with, though, as I only frame 3D things. The handyman on the little industrial estate where my workshop is turned up last week with two pictures of motorbikes he wanted framing. I just stu...

Re: Glassless framing...
Thanks for all the suggesstions - it looks like low refelctive glass is the way forward! It might make it an expensive frame, though (as it's about 80cm wide).
Also - thanks for the tips on tray frames and mylar straps (both of which now googled)
Cheers

Glassless framing...
Hello again Yet another newbie question that I should probably be embarrassed about asking... in fact, several of them! I have a bunch of fossil fish slabs that I've been framing up with a driftwood moulding from Lion. They just seem to work better without glass, so I didn't put any in. For example:...
