It's the Futura still available please?

The Keencut mount cutter...... Is it the newer Ultimat 'Futura' model? If it is, please get back to me as I'm very interested in upgrading from my older Ultimat to 'Gold'.

Thanks for letting us know. I have two old Euro machines but have not used them since getting a Cassese. While the Cassese is more refined it doesn't have a quarter of the grunt the Euros have and I was thinking about getting one going again. I will keep your hammers in mind.

Recently I needed a 1.6mnm jumbo board cut and the guy I brought it to had a Speed Mat which couldn't cut this hard board. Has anyone had a problem cutting it on ...

Thanks for that Abacus. Quite often I will mark up the back of a board for multiple openings and cut them "freehand" on the Keencut. If using a MatPro, which cuts from the front of the board, I assume every opening will mean a re-set of the stops. Am I right in thinking this? If I was doing enough ...

Thinking of changing from my trusty old Keencut Ultimat Gold to a Valiani MatPro 150.......the non-CMC version. Has anyone else made a change like this and found the upgrade worthwhile? Did you keep your old cutter, or dispose of it?

How do you know when to get a new Wedge Distributor Block? Are there recognisable signs of wear and tear? I have a CS199 and it struggles to insert two softwood wedges into obeche, or its equivalent. I did not buy the machine new so I don't know if this is the limit of the machine or if it's simply ...

Thanks for your reply Mark. I've been told about a guy in Dublin, but with this Covid thing I can't travel to see him right now. He comes highly recommended and I want to see what he has to offer. I'll let you know how I get on should I proceed.
