I had this same problem when I first got my CS79 - found I had to slightly push any new cassese cassette forward towards the hammer to get it to click into place and from then onwards it would accept the wedges as normal, worth giving a try on yours x

Many thanks for your reply Mark, I gave up trying yesterday but today is another day. I'm going to change the morso blades to see if that helps - hopefully it may - but the worry is I have another 44 lengths to be delivered and a tight deadline :?

What stain brand is best with obeche

Hi all,
I’ve been asked by an artist recently if I could stain an obeche frame to look similar to the one pictured
What would you recommend as a good brand of black stain to buy for my first attempt? and what would be the best prep beforehand

Thank you Justin, I will definitely keep the finishing oil in mind when making frames are for kitchens and thank you Mark too - I'm still learning and trying to speed up my production times whilst also trying to find a use for all my oak waste so lightly colouring the oak to sort of unify it sounds ...

best type of oil to use on oak frames

Hi All I've recently been asked to apply an oil finish for a couple of oak frames I'm making up. I normally apply a wax or stain finish on oak so not sure which type of oil would work the best - liberon finishing oil, danish oil, tung oil etc and wondered if anyone could suggest the best type to use...
