Have you tried underpinned spares?

I had this same problem when I first got my CS79 - found I had to slightly push any new cassese cassette forward towards the hammer to get it to click into place and from then onwards it would accept the wedges as normal, worth giving a try on yours x

Many thanks for your reply Mark, I gave up trying yesterday but today is another day. I'm going to change the morso blades to see if that helps - hopefully it may - but the worry is I have another 44 lengths to be delivered and a tight deadline
