yeah, i totally agree. I did a training course and I used a morso guillotine and casses unperpinner. I felt comfortable using them. It's just where I did the training they are trying to sell me different brand equipment than i trained on. I think i will just go for quality equipment.

thanks kaptain.kopter , i was also looking at the casses c88 foot operated underpinner. Im just a bit weary that the cable would snap as its foot operated.

hello , i am just about to startup my own home framing business and i need to buy all the relevant equipment. As for the mitre guillotine, one person is recommending a morso f and the other is recommending the framers corners guilotine. Has anyone got any experience of the framers corner guillotine?...

do i only need to put the strips below the painting to prevent it from slipping or should I surround the entire painting with strips of mountboard?

would normal mdf backboard be ok right behind the board the watercolour in painted on or would i need ph neutral backboard, then mdf?

ok, thanks roboframer. Just to get this right in my head.... place the watercolour face down on the mount, position it, tape the 4 corners and build up with mountboard strips so the mount is the same thickness as the board the watercolour has been painted on. do i use fp90 tape to stick the mountboa...

mounting a watercolour done on board

hi, what would be the best way to mount a watercolour done on board? Would a t-hinge be too weak to hold the watercolour to the mountboard? i want to put a double mount over the watercolour. any suggestions would be most welcome. apologies for asking lots of questions, im a complete novice :)
