Re: cassese one underpinner.
I picked up a secondhand underpinner from Hayling Frames 2 weeks ago, he was having big problems with his new pneumatic cassese underpinner model? they had supplied him temporarily with a 88 so he could carry on production.

When you say " Needed for a project I am working on" what do you mean? Do you have a client that wants one framed or what?daisy wrote: 'The House Among The Poppies'. Needed for a project I am working on and kind of need it yesterday.

Why not buy the Fine Art Fair one, scan or photograph and then resize in photoshop and print, you will have the advantage of a choice or papers etc.

Re: How would you feel about framing this.
Considering how many tattoos some people have covering their bodies, could you find yourself confronted with a Bear Skin Rug size piece of leather. Some people's heads are covered in tattoos, what do you do then? The whole idea seems crazy to me why not just go for taxidermy ? A nice glass case in t...

What Under Pinner
I'm finally losing patience with my Morso under-pinner, probably partly my fault for trying to doctor it, so I'm looking for a replacement under pinner,I'm in no rush,I just want to get what is best for me. I have a compressor which I could utilize, so pneumatic or foot operated ? With or without cl...

I would say Photograph before you do anything.
I'm sure someone in the local Camera Club will have a copy stand and lights, and will do you a digital file should you need it.
Would do it myself but I'm to far away.

Re: Photo album
My wife set me the card along with the chocolate on Valentine's Day, it now lives in the smallest room along with other amusing things which uses up odd bits of moulding.

Re: Framer in the news
Perhaps all the members of FF should dig out that length of moulding that has been at the back of the store for years, probably destined for the council tip and FRAME A SIGN !

Re: Framer in the news
Council are quite happy to give licences for ugly repetitive hoardings, presumably they receive a fee? The frames will naturally deteriorate and when they become unsightly then is the time to remove them. Up here in Scotland the Duke of Wellingtons Stature in Glasgow is a prime example of Councils e...

Re: Wireless camera
Would you please explain why a strobe light reduces reflections? Surely it's the angle between the light and the glass and the camera, not the power of the light that makes the difference? If the strobes are those in the ceiling then they look as if they are angled at 45%, the type/power of light m...

Re: Optical illusion
Bottom should be approx; 10 per cent greater than top margin. 6mm at top, about7mm at bottom solves the illusion. I've never noticed this phonominium with double mounts, having said that I never go above 4mm. I have however encountered that 'slipped down' look with mounts/matts but have always allo...

If there is blood on any clothing or linen my wife always treats it with salty water first, ie. before washing.

Re: Morso Second Stop
Why not use 2 G cramps or similar as stops ? Set up your shorts first, then place a cramp cutting side of the sliding bit so it can't travel to make pieces shorter. For longs do same thing except the cramp is placed so it can't make thing longer.
