Blade sharpening

Hello everyone, and yes I know this topic must have been done to death over the years, but I need help. I used to use Lion for Morso blade sharpening until they stopped the service last year. I have tried all the companies I can find online and some tool sharpening companies too. None have done a go...

Re: morso pushing problem

hi thanks for the replies. unfortunatley this happens with all my sets of blades, which are all sharpened at lion. one pair is an old pair but two are brand new one set has only been sharpened once. you can feel the moulding being forced away on the final cut, on both sides. i put another pair on to...

Re: morso pushing problem

its all set up square and works fine on softer woods. the problem is the cut mitre is not the angle that the blades and fence are set at??? when the blades come down on the last cut it starts in the right place but forces the wood (or the blades) away so the resulting cut is distorted. so hard to ex...

morso pushing problem

hey, i bought a new morso in december, after my old one gave out, and i haven't cut a decent frame since. on its original set up it was cutting and leaving a gap at the back on soft woods so i set it correctly by moving the fence, but on hardwoods it leaves a huge gap on the inner edge of the mitre....

Re: morso pushing

hi guys, thanks for the replies. i always get my blades (made by morso) shapened at lion, and i get good results from them. i haven't had this set on long but i guess something must have blunted them sooner than normal. my bad for not having sent the other set off for sharpening weeks ago so now any...

morso pushing

hey, ok so, i have searched for this problem and not really found an answer. my morso (when cutting hardwoods) is pushing the moulding as it cuts making for horribly gappy mitres. could this be just blunt blades? or something else? i didnt think that i had been using the blades for too long. thanks....

Re: HELP! Squaring problems on keencut ultimat gold

hi, make sure you slide the mountboard in from the left and cut a strip off the end to get a straight and square start to the mount. dont rely on the measuring arm as this bends and moves. the t square (if that is the problem) can also be adjusted with an alan key. i found following the instructions...

Re: Morso - Struggling!!!!!!

mine does this too sometimes. i always thought it was probably due to wear as the supports can wobble a bit side to side.
