Re: Repair of canvas edge before framing
Thank you both for prompt reply and noted your advice
Stapes sounds like a plan, clients wants a narrow gap max 10mm I will certainly explore option of fixing a thin spacer as it would give a nice clean finish
Much appreciated

Re: Cockling,I think ?
Thanks
Yes i t hinged allthough in early days of framing I may have wet the hinges a little too much, so it may be on me
When it comes back I’ll take it apart and see what’s the best option

Re: Cockling,I think ?

Could it be the board which the print is mounted on has cockled ?
In your experience would/should publisher replace free of charge ?
I suspect client will want a quick fix.
Although not conservation and assuming he’s briefed on downsides and advised about hanging in ...

Re: Mounting Posters and inexpensive artwork
Thanks for your feedback much appreciated
Noted re bubbling and have seen it myself, would a nice piece of 2 or 3mm float right on top of the print (no spacer) not keep it flat or at least help ?
Project is for “affordable” reproduction art to hang in offices, low volume, high perceived value.
