Hi,
Before I buy new, I wondered if anyone had any Gallery Rail Hanging system they no longer use, or some offcuts. I only need about 2-3m to do one wall. Any variety considered!
Thanks for looking.

Re: Is the customer always right?
That is my inclination NIck, it's certainly not my place to decide it is wrong, the customer should have checked it when they received it and I'm just doing what they have asked me to do. I do query spellings if I am asked to order an engraved plaque or print text but that is while I am still discus...

Re: Is the customer always right?
I found the seller on 'Not On The HIgh Street' and you add your own personalisation so the customer must have typed it in like that. But the text box says add your text here, for example: Home is where the heart is... I feel like it should have been the NOTHS seller that picked it up or it is in fac...

Mounting CDs
A customer has just asked me to frame four CDs (cases and discs) so I went straight to Lion who used to sell CD mounting studs only to find they don't any more. :( Does anyone know if I can source these from somewhere else? Or does someone have four gathering dust somewhere that I could buy? Is it b...

Re: How long have you been a framer?
About 27 years by my reckoning! When I was 22 the framer my father-in-law used offered me a job after I dropped out of university and didn't know what else to do. I figured it would do for a few months until I found a 'proper' job  I stayed there for 7 years and then wondered why I wasn't just ...

Re: Blade sharpening
Wessex (Leamington) said it is £12.50 +VAT but they go down to Bournemouth to be sharpened so for me it would be about a 3 week turnaround. They do collect and deliver with orders on their local vans though so that would save the cost and hassle of postage. I'll be giving them a try I think!

Re: Lockdown mk2 - Saving Christmas
I've got a backlog of 2 or 3 weeks work I reckon so I'll be clearing that and arranging payment on the phone, collections at the door. I've been working by appointment anyway so customers are getting used to calling me first. Got a few people dropping off work today and tomorrow to do as and when be...

Re: Merging Duplicate Customers?
Ah thanks! Will try it. I had a feeling I had seen something previously but just couldn't find it...
Yes, worked nicely, able to remove a few duplicates. But when the same number comes up under Croft and Cross, it's hard to know which was wrong!!

Is there a way to merge the customers I have accidentally put in twice?
Thanks,

Odd Quirk
Hi John, I have noticed an odd quirk in my EstLite. When I tick the 'collected' check boxes, if it is the last job on the list, it ticks off the one above instead of the correct one. It took me a while to figure out where a job that should have been on the Jobs Ready For Collection list had disappea...

Optimistic Ebayer!
I stumbled across this Mackenzie Thorpe print on eBay - who thinks that this would look perfectly fine in a new frame and mount as the description suggests?!!

Re: Suggestion
I've only just realised that you have already done it - that was quick! EstLite wouldn't update from within the program so I have had to download it again, but all is working as it should and will make my life much easier. Many thanks for the improvement John!

Suggestion
My suggestion for an improvement to EstLite is one I keep thinking would be good but never get round to mentioning it, but after checking 'jobs not yet completed' and 'uncollected jobs' rather a lot in the last few days it's something I could really do with. Is it possible for the 'uncollected jobs'...
