Re: Soft wedges not stacking
Thanks Justin, appreciate it! For deeper frames, is it common practice to clamp after gluing and pinning?

Re: Soft wedges not stacking
Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah I looked it up...it's ayous. I'm using an alfamachine U200p - it doesn't have the front clamp bit ....maybe I'm not holding it together enough. The biggest wedges I have are 12s so maybe I should get in 15s. There's always something!!!! Thank you!

Soft wedges not stacking
Hey all, I'm having problems joining deep mouldings. Basically, I'm trying to stack 2 x 10mm (alfmachine soft wood wedges) and they're just sliding next to each other as opposed to stacking. I've attached a pic of the moulding - would someone know by looking if this is hardwood and if it requires HW...

Re: Jagged Cuts & Splitting
Amazing guys, thanks so much for all this. A new set of blades is the first port of call! Yeah I think the blades I had were crazy old now that you say it!! Great to know about different moulding hardness - I swear I never thought framing would have so many little variables 🤣 Fantastic to have this ...

Re: Jagged Cuts & Splitting
Thanks a million guys, really appreciate this help! I've changed the blades....they definitely look newer - same problem with chipping. It seems to be on one moulding in particular. Any downsides to cutting upside down?? Regarding cleaning, would methylated spirits work? I'll source that PTFE spray ...

Re: Jagged Cuts & Splitting
Thanks Justintime! Yeah I thought it might be difficult to diagnose! Regarding user friendly supports, the new morso we we were using on the course had some mechanism to determine what height they should be - don’t ask what that was called, I just remember it being more straightforward! Interesting ...

Jagged Cuts & Splitting
Hi there, I'm recently new to framing. Bought a 2nd hand Morso F and I had the blades sharpened before using. I have used it quite a bit up to this point so my first question might be easily answered! 1. Picture 1 - I'm having jagged cuts on my mouldings in the last few days, does this look like bla...

MANUAL for VALIANI CMC 150 YEAR 2006
Hi there, we recently bought a Valiani CMC 150 second hand and unfortunately the seller owned the framing business but never actually framed therefore she couldn't explain to us how to use. Would anyone have a manual for this?? I have a manual for the software but for the actual machine itself, I'm ...
